Your driver will be waiting for you at Entebbe Airport, they will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Kampala City

You will have breakfast at the hotel early in the morning as you start your journey to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Kanungu, Kisoro and Rubanda district, Southwestern Uganda, covering an area of approximately 321 square kilometers (124 square miles). The park is home to over 400 mountain gorillas, making it a premier destination for gorilla trekking and wildlife tourism.

There are over 400 mountain gorillas divided into several habituated groups, there are other primates like chimpanzees, baboons and several monkey species, over 350 species of birds, including the African green broadbill and the Shelley’s crimson wing and over 200 butterflies’ species, including the African monarch and the blue tiger butterfly.

Gorilla trekking and Batwa experience are two unique and unforgettable adventures that allow you to explore the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of Uganda.

The Batwa are an indigenous people who have lived in the mountainous forests of central Africa, including Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo for thousands of years. They were traditionally hunter gathers living in harmony with the forest and its resources. They were known for their exceptional hunting skills, using bows, arrows and spears to catch game. They lived in the forest building shelters made of branches, leaves and grass.

Gorilla trekking at Bwindi impenetrable National park is a thrilling adventure that allows you to explore the lush forests and observe mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, the gorilla population is over 400 mountain gorillas, divided into several habituated groups.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park occupies an estimated 1978 square kilometers (764 sqm), the park is known for its abundant wildlife, including African elephant, African buffalo, Uganda Kob, hippopotamus, topi, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, Nile crocodile, leopard spotted hyena, chimpanzee and lion. Overall, the park is home to 95 mammal species and over 600 bird species.

The area around Ishasha in Rukungiri District is famous for its tree climbing lions, whose males often sport black manes.

A morning game drive at Queen Elizabeth National Park is a thrilling adventure that allows you to explore the park’s diverse habitats and spot incredible wildlife during the most active hours of the day.

Early morning game drive typically begins at dawn around when the sun rises over the Savannah. The morning hours offer a more comfortable temperature, making it ideal for wildlife viewing.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its tree climbing lions often spotted in the morning hours. Leopards are elusive predators are most active during the early morning hours

Boat Cruise

Chimpanzee trekking in kalinzu forest is done in two sessions that is the morning session which starts at 8:00am and the afternoon session which starts at 2:00pm, each session starts with a briefing about the rules and regulations at the park headquarters. After the briefing you will start trekking in the forest with an experienced park guide which takes about 2 to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search for food. During trekking, you will be able to view other primate species, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you a chance to watch them carry out their daily activities, learn about their behaviors, habits, take photos and record videos to show people back home

Transfer to Kampala

Kampala is Uganda's national and commercial capital bordering Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake. Hills covered with red-tile villas and trees surround an urban Centre of contemporary skyscrapers. In this downtown area, the Uganda Museum explores the country's tribal heritage through an extensive collection of artefacts. On nearby Mengo Hill is Lubiri Palace, the former seat of the Buganda Kingdom.

There are five divisions of Kampala, Uganda, they are Central, Kawempe, Makindye, Nakawa, and Rubaga. Each division is led by a mayor who is elected by the people.

About the divisions

Kawempe Division: Includes 19 parishes and 771 villages. Bwaise, an urban locality, is in this division.

Nakasero: Includes the central business district of Kampala, including Old Kampala, Kololo, and Nakasero. These areas are upscale residential and business neighborhoods.

Kampala is the capital of Uganda and is located in the country's most prosperous agricultural region. It exports coffee, cotton, tea, tobacco, and sugar.

Kampala is the capital and largest city of Uganda. The city proper has a population of 1,875,834 (2024) and is divided into the five political divisions of Kampala, Kawempe, Makindye, Nakawa, and Rubaga.

Kampala's metropolitan area consists of the city proper and the neighboring Wakiso District, Mukono District, Mpigi District, Buikwe District and Luweero District. It has a rapidly growing population that is estimated at 6,709,900 people in 2019 by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics in an area of 8,451.9 km2 (3,263.3 square miles). Other estimates estimate put the size of the metropolitan area at around four million people.

In 2015, this metropolitan area generated an estimated nominal GDP of $13.80221 billion (constant US dollars of 2011), which was more than half of Uganda's GDP for that year, indicating the importance of Kampala to Uganda's economy.

Kampala originally referred to only the present-day Old Kampala hill, on whose summit Fort Lugard was located, and the initial headquarters of the British colonial authorities in the soon to be Uganda Protectorate.
